One of only 29 AC 428 convertibles manufactured in period the AC is finished in Guardsman Blue with black interior and a blue mohair hood. Although mostly original the car has had extensive mechanical maintenance and additional refurbishment to maintain it in excellent condition. Showing some 58,000 miles the interior is largely original and in recent years the engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt. Most recent work includes a full suspension overhaul, new brakes, wheels and tyres. It features an aluminium radiator and upgraded ‘Cobra’ coil springs and trailing links. The Ace Brooklands was the result of an extensive development programme by the "new" AC company controlled by Brian Angliss and Ford Motor Co. The car featured a 4.7 litre Ford V8 in an entirely new stainless steel chassis with aluminium bodywork and about 70 were made between 1993 and 2000. This car was the first production model and the 1993 Earls Court Motor Show car. Sold by the factory to its only owner it has covered 28000 miles from new.
